The Story of "GLI UNICI"
In 2007, Donald Braswell II, William Chapman, and Timothy Birt had a vision of performing as three tenors. All were phenomenal and experienced opera singers who had traveled the world as artists. As professional opera singers, the three had a goal to perform pure in the tradition of the Great Three Tenors (Luciano Pavarotti, Jose Carreras, and Placido Domingo) with a spin and dynamic twist, taking their voices further than the big three ever would have dared. The first performance was so well-received that they were hired everywhere once word spread about a new three-tenor act.
In 2008, Donald placed fourth on America's Got Talent. The experience took him away from the three tenor concerts for a year. Upon Donald's return, they decided to grow an exceptional three-tenor group. Considering the vocal minefields that their talent could create, the name "Gli Unici," which is Italian for "The Only Ones."
Donald Braswell II, William Chapman, and Timothy Birt have traveled around the country and toured in Mexico, to sold-out audiences everywhere.
