Join us for a special evening dedicated to celebrating the love, strength, and grace of mothers everywhere. "Serenata a las Madres" (Serenade to the Mothers) - a musical tribute that honors the incredible women who shape our lives with their endless care and devotion - presented by Luis Villa with the Trio Palenque. Whether you're celebrating with your own mother, honoring the memory of a loved one, or simply appreciating the universal bond of motherhood, "Serenata a las Madres" promises an evening filled with love, music, and heartfelt moments.
Did you know our Mother's Day tradition is barely a century old? The United States celebrated its first Mother's Day in 1908; Mexico, its Día de las Madres in 1922.
On this significant day, mariachis and trios from all over the world unite in celebration. The tradition of serenades, deeply rooted in the U.S. and Mexican-Hispanic communities, is a testament to the love and gratitude we hold for our Mothers with special songs like "Gema," "Canto a la Madre," "Hermoso Cariño," and "Las Mañanitas."
