Texas Cellos return to the Cave Throne Room to perform a candlelit Traditional Nordic (cello) Choir representing a stunning Scandinavian tradition for St Lucia's Day. The celebration day is actually December 13th and coincides with the Winter Solstice of the old "Julian" pagan calendar. The Winter Solstice gives breath to the thoughts of longer days ahead with the return of light and new life in winter.
Texas Cellos, a cello choir of 12 cellos (#cellosound), has been sharing the gorgeous voice of the cello with sold-out audiences since founded. Cellists are a unique bunch with a shared love for sound, expression, and friendship in music-making. A cello choir has a wide enough range to play from the bass to the soprano, and the sound is warm and lyrical.
